Radar Map Conversion Tool

This tool converts a list of latitude and longitude coordinates in the FAA's standardized format into the sector file format used by VRC (Virtual Radar Client).

You can request this data from the FAA under the FOIA. For more info about how sector files are used, please visit VATSIM's official website.

The upload form accepts DAT files up to 10 MB in size. Simply choose the source file from your computer and click the "Convert" button. Please be patient because it may take several seconds to convert large/complex source files. After the conversion process is complete, a dialog window will appear which allows you to download the sector file as a TXT file.
